Account & Data Deletion

How BriefPath accounts work

BriefPath is a business platform licensed to health systems. Individual accounts are created and managed by your organization’s workspace administrator — there is no public sign-up, and no consumer account to close. If you use BriefPath, your employer provisioned your account.

Requesting deletion

You have two routes, and either one works:

  • Ask your workspace administrator. They can deactivate your account immediately from Admin → Users, which ends your access straight away.
  • Email us directly at [email protected] from the address on the account, or open a ticket from Support inside the app. We will confirm the request and coordinate it with your administrator.

We respond to deletion requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your user record and personal details — name, email address, phone number, credentials, and any private notes only you could see — are removed. Registered mobile devices are deleted with the account, so notifications stop immediately.

What is retained, and why: records of business activity you entered on your employer’s behalf — logged visits, cases, and referral counts — belong to the health system, not to the individual, and are kept as their business record. This is the same principle that applies to a CRM or an email archive when someone leaves a job. Your employer decides what happens to those records and can have them removed on request.

Closing a whole workspace

If your organization is ending its BriefPath subscription and wants its data erased, an administrator should email [email protected]. We delete the workspace and everything in it within 30 days of confirmation, other than what we are legally required to keep (for example, billing records).

Patient data

BriefPath does not store protected health information. It holds provider and practice directory information, rep activity, and aggregate referral counts — never patient identifiers. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
